Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly organized and experienced Front of House Manager to oversee the daily operations of our restaurant. As the Front of House Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring exceptional customer service, managing the front-of-house staff, and maintaining a positive dining experience for our guests.
Duties:
- Manage and supervise front-of-house staff, including servers, hosts/hostesses, and bartenders
- Train new employees on restaurant policies, procedures, and customer service standards
- Ensure that all staff members adhere to health and safety regulations
- Coordinate with the kitchen staff to ensure smooth communication and efficient service
- Oversee the seating arrangements and reservations to optimize table turnover
- Handle guest complaints or concerns in a professional and timely manner
- Monitor inventory levels of supplies, such as menus, napkins, and condiments
- Collaborate with the management team to develop strategies for improving customer satisfaction and increasing sales
- Assist with interviewing, hiring, and onboarding new front-of-house employees
Skills:
- Strong leadership abilities with experience in team management
- Extensive knowledge of the food industry and food handling practices
- Exceptional hospitality skills with a focus on providing excellent customer service
- Proficient in interviewing and selecting qualified candidates for front-of-house positions
- Previous experience in food service management or as an assistant manager is preferred
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining composure under pressure
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with staff, customers, and vendors
- Knowledge of catering operations is a plus
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
