Summary/Objective

Family-owned and operated for five generations, Stauffer Glove & Safety, a distributor leader in the safety and PPE products industry is looking for a Warehouse Associate to join our team in Buford , GA .

Responsible for delivering and stocking product at vending and vendor managed inventory customers. Which includes preparing product for shipment and loading the truck. Pulling all vending route orders on a daily basis and planning local deliveries. In addition, this position will also perform picking, packing, shipping and receiving duties within the distribution center when not on the road making deliveries.

Essential Functions

• Responsible for fulfilling and picking customer orders based off of company pick tickets and staging orders appropriately for shipping.
• Generating labels and shipping documents for all picked orders via company TMS and organizing shipments appropriately for carrier pick-ups or truck company truck deliveries.
• Ensure the fulfillment of customers’ orders are processed accurately and timely.
• Assist with inventory placement and inventory identification, reconcile discrepancies, and ensure movement of inventory is accurate and timely.
• Responsible for delivering all VMI customer orders to local customers as needed.
• Provide onsite technical support for vending customers; including troubleshooting of vending machines
• Responsible for stocking supplies onsite at customer and providing customer inventory support.
• Responsible for preparing all vending orders for delivery; which includes picking, packing, and staging deliveries in the truck.
• Deliver product and assist customer’s receiving department with movement of product.
• Ensure all company policies and procedures are adhered to.

Work Environment

This job operates in a warehouse environment. This role routinely uses standard warehouse equipment such as forklifts, rolling ladders, and other material handling tools.

Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

• Ability to bend, stoop, lift up to 65 lbs., climb ladders, and work on material handling equipment such as forklifts and other moving apparatus.
• Work in an uncontrolled temperature environment and in a controlled temperature environment.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

• This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, shifts time are based on business needs, specific to each branch location.

• Overtime may be required due to workload.

Travel

• Route deliveries as needed

Required Education and Experience

• Minimum High School degree or GED equivalent.
• Have knowledge and minimum 1-year experience with shipping and receiving processes and able to provide timely and accurate shipments and receiving.
• Experience operating forklift equipment, pallet jacks and company vehicle
• Valid driver’s license and obtain a DOT medical certificate

Preferred Education and Experience

• Prefer 2 or more years’ experience large distribution inventory environments.
• Knowledge or experience working with a warehouse management system.
