Summary

The Analytics Manager will lead the effort of developing and implementing comprehensive tools and strategies that allows data from multiple sources to be transformed into business insights used for decision making and strategic planning across all clinical and business levels of organization. The Analytics Manager will work with all customers to identify clinic practice workflows and processes which enable the analysis and reporting of disease and health management.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provides support to committees, clinics and multiple levels of leadership by designing methods of data collection, analysis and presentation to determine the quality and cost of clinical care.
  • Directs and manages Clinical Informatics Analysts and Data Analysts, including recruitment, selection, orientation, retention, training, promotion, disciplinary action and performance evaluations.
  • Develop and use advanced data modeling and analysis techniques to discover insights that will guide strategic decisions and uncover optimization opportunities.
  • Build, develop and maintain data models, reporting systems, data automation systems, dashboards and performance metrics support that support key business decisions.
  • Design and build technical processes to address business issues.
  • Oversee the design and delivery of reports and insights that analyze business functions and key operations and performance metrics.
  • Manage and optimize processes for data intake, validation, mining and engineering as well as modeling, visualization and communication deliverables.
  • Organize and drive successful completion of data reporting initiatives through effective management of the analytics team and effective collaboration with stakeholders.
  • Maintains the highest standards of data integrity and quality throughout the organizations data collection and reporting systems.
  • Based on awareness and understanding of current healthcare industry, converts data and findings into understandable tables, graphs, and written reports.
  • Documents key performance metrics, current state measures, industry benchmarks, future state objectives, etc.

  • Compiles information and prepares reports. Maintains records.
  • Participates in educational activities.
  • Follows organizational policies and procedures, including State of Franklin Healthcare Associates Compliance Manual, Code of Ethics and Business Standards, HR Policies and Procedures Manual, Team Member Handbook, OSHA Manual and any other policies or procedures for the job function, department, location or clinic.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education

Bachelors degree in Business, Healthcare, Information Systems, Computer Science or a related discipline. Equivalent work experience may substitute for education requirement.

Experience

Five or more years of SQL reporting, analytics and business reporting experience in a healthcare environment and with healthcare data, such as CPT codes, diagnoses, medical expense ratio and other clinical data. Must have working knowledge of data mining principles: predictive analytics, mapping, collecting data from multiple data systems on premises and cloud-based data sources.

Working Conditions

Work is performed in a medical office environment involving contact with patients, physicians, staff, insurance carriers and other business partners. Occasional local travel between work sites and additional hours, including evening or weekend work, may be necessary.
