MDH, Deer's Head Hospital Center, Salisbury, MD

Main Purpose of Job

The main purpose of this position is to provide general cleaning of Deer's Head Hospital Center, including patient and administrative areas. This relates to the mission and goals of Deer's Head Hospital Center by providing a clean, aseptic, safe, healthy, happy, and caring environment for the patients/residents and personnel to thrive in.Per the AmendedDirective and Order Regarding Vaccination (MDH # 2023.04.18.03) issued by theSecretary of the Maryland Department of Health, effective April 18, 2023, staffin all hospitals and residential facilities operated by the Maryland Departmentof Health or any local health department are required to show proof of COVID-19vaccination. Staff includes, but is not limited to, regular and contractualemployees, contractual staff, volunteers, and other state employees performingany duties at the facility. An individual may request an accommodation byproviding appropriate and sufficient documentation for bona fide medical orreligious reasons.

LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS AND CERTIFICATIONS

Employees appointed to positions in this classification may be assigned duties which require the operation of a motor vehicle. Employees assigned such duties will be required to possess a motor vehicle operator’s license valid in the State of Maryland.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS

Employees in this classification may be subject to call-in 24 hours a day and, therefore, may be required to provide the employing agency with a telephone number where they can be reached.
