Schedule : Wednesday-Saturday 11:00AM-9:30PM including Holidays

Shift Differential Pay: $2.00/Hour

Location: 751 Blakely Ave; Issaquah, WA

Job Duties/Responsibilities :

• Determine the acceptability of specimens for testing according to established criteria
• Perform routine and complex technical procedures and functions according to departmental Standard Operating Procedures
• Monitor, operate and troubleshoot instrumentation to ensure proper functionality
• Demonstrate the ability to make technical decisions regarding testing and problem solving.
• Prepare, test and evaluate new reagents or controls
• Report accurate and timely test results in order to deliver quality patient care
• Perform and document preventive maintenance and quality control procedures
• Identify and replenish testing bench supplies as necessary
• Assist with processing of specimens when needed
• Maintain a safe work environment and wear appropriate personal protective equipment
• Hospital based Generalist position in fast paced hospital. Must be able to work efficiently and accurately in a busy environment and be adaptable to change.

Requirements:

• Associates' Degree in a life science or laboratory science/Medical Technology
• Previous experience in a clinical laboratory is preferred
• Must be ASCP certified as a Medical Lab Technician or equivalent
• Ability to work independently and within a team environment Proficient with computers;
• Familiarity with laboratory information systems are a plus High level of attention detail along with strong communication and organizational skills
• Must be able to pass a standardized color vision screen
• Flexibility to work overtime or other shifts depending on business needs
• Must be a medical lab technician (ASCP) or equivalent.
• Experience with automated instrumentation and manual testing in hematology, chemistry, and/ or microbiology desirable.
• Ability to express self concisely, accurately and effectively both verbally and in writing.
• Ability to interact positively with clients, physicians and all staff.

Pay Range: $24.50-$39.00

Benefits: All job offers will be based on a candidates skills and prior relevant experience and the terms of the collective bargaining agreement between Dynacare Northwest, Inc. and United Food and Commercial Workers Union, Local 21. Regular, full-time or part-time employees working 24 or more hours per week are eligible for comprehensive benefits including: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, STD/LTD, 401(K), accrue up to 18 days of Annual Leave per year (includes 8 holidays) and Sick Leave (0.0333 hours of sick leave for each hour of work).
