DEPARTMENT: Department of Early Childhood and Family Services
STATUS: Part- time non-exempt 10-20 hours/week
Salary: $33-$35 per hour

Our mental health, crisis intervention, youth housing, substance use, and early childhood services help thousands of individuals each year. PROGRAM DESCRIPTION:
StarVista’s Child and Parent Services (CAPS) is a multidisciplinary program that is comprised of two parts: Prevention and Intervention. One part of the program Is available to any family with a child 0-18 living in the cities of San Mateo, San Bruno, Daly City, and South San Francisco, as well as on the Coast that anchors in preventive child welfare work aimed to reducing risk factors that will increase the chance of child abuse and/or neglect. The other part of the program provides intervention services to any family that has been a victim of child abuse and/or neglect within 24 months and/or working with an agency that works with families/children that have are involved in child welfare and/or victimization. The focus of the program is to provide a strength-based and short-term approach which includes therapeutic services, resource linkage, advocacy, and groups. Services are available in the family’s home, in their community or virtually. Due to current COVID-19 health and safety concerns services will be delivered telehealth until restrictions are lifted agency and/or county wide.
Range of services include individual and family therapy, parent education and parent support groups in the community. Clinician will provide individual, group, and family therapy as needed. Clinician will provide workshops in the community geared toward parents.
