COLLECTOR:

This position will work directly with our current customer base and will manage and collect on delinquent accounts for Star Furniture. This opportunity requires the ability to work on Saturdays (twice per month) and one weeknight per week (Wednesdays).

Reports to: Director of Financial Services. Essential Functions:

• Conducts daily collection calls to delinquent accounts; practices top-notch customer service when dealing with our valued clients.
• Handles customer service questions and issues, via phone and email.
• Handles contract refinance/extension challenges.
• Skips tracing accounts to locate customers.
• Responds to customer inquiries on delinquency notices.
• Investigates billing problems.
• Participates in office and departmental meetings.
• Works the required schedule which includes one weeknight evening and two (2) Saturdays per month.

Preferred Requirements:

• Basic collections experience in an environment that has a high-volume of calls.
• Basic PC knowledge including Microsoft Office.

Supervisory Responsibility: None.

Work Environment: This position operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, tablets, and other office equipment.

Position Type / Expected Hours of Work: This is position and hours of work would routinely be 40 hours per week and requires working one late night during the week and every other Saturday. Given the nature of the position, there may be occasions that extra hours and travel may be required.
