We build robust, scalable enterprise-scale ecommerce and line-of-business systems for the largest retailers. Our Austin team, among other things, builds, and powers the print production management systems at over 1000 locations. As a Back-end developer you will have a strong understanding of software development. What You'll Be Doing

  • Work on large-scale, multi-tiered, distributed software applications, tools and services using object-oriented design and distributed programming
  • Functionally decompose complex problems into simple, straight-forward solutions that demonstrate significant creativity and high judgment
  • Possess expert knowledge in performance, scalability, enterprise system architecture and engineering best practices
  • Assist in the career development of others by actively mentoring individuals and the community on advanced technical areas, and helping team leaders guide the career growth of their team members
  • Exert technical influence over multiple teams to increase their productivity and effectiveness by sharing your deep knowledge and experience
  • Writing fully testable, high-quality code
  • Input in the team’s front-end architecture and technology roadmap
  • Working with backend APIs to retrieve data.
  • Support the team through QA and deployments.
Qualifications

Essential skills and experience:

  • 5-7 years' experience building scalable, secure, and high performing applications.
  • 5 -7 years of experience working with popular enterprise programming languages such as .NET, C#
  • Experience with frameworks such as .NET, .NET Core
  • Experience implementing RESTful and Windows services.
  • Knowledge of SQL Server development and database design.
  • Familiarity with tools and concepts such as nUnit, jUnit, MSTest and Gherkin/Cucumber
  • experience with integration of external APIs
  • Excellent understanding of and some experience using Test Driven Development.
  • Deep understanding of object-oriented design patterns and pragmatic programming principles.
  • Ability to multitask over multiple projects in an agile team
  • Experience in Agile Software Development Methodologies and Practices
  • You have a degree in Computer Science (or a relevant field), or an equivalent combination of education, experience, and amazing ability
