Job Title: Career Services Advisor DEFINITION:The Career Services Advisor works with students to support, coach and serve as a resource to identify and obtain positions in their field of study. Focus will be made on career development of students and graduates, while simultaneously working to establish and maintain relationships with area employers. The Career Service Advisor will match employment opportunities to graduates and assist them through the interview and job offer process. The Career Service Advisor will present workshops and individual coaching on career search strategies, cover letter and resume building, professionalism and soft skills in addition to other career development topics. Will work to build relationships within the employer community to secure job placement opportunities for graduates actively pursuing job searches that will secure positions that will match to the graduates’ skills and training. The Career Service Advisor maintains placement records and provides reports to accrediting agencies and college administration staff.
