Description
We have an opening for an IT Operations Manager for our locally owned HVAC services company.
This position is responsible for coordinating business information technology operations, vendor services, and managing development process for custom CRM/LOB/ERP system; ensuring delivery of IT operations services necessary for the company to conduct business and ensuring comprehensive support of all technology resources including database, application development, voice networks, data networks, internet connections, cloud resources, servers, networked laptops, and desktop computers, as well as mobile field equipment and mobile applications; participates in developing the strategic technology plan, implementation of short-term and long-term projects, and management of associated budgets.
IT Project Management & Application Development-50%, System Administration-35%, End User Support-15%
Responsibilities include:
· Manage contracts and service level agreements with vendors (e.g., development platforms, telecommunication companies, managed service providers) and software licenses
· Supervise and direct the operations of contract software developers and programmers
· Manage and maintain networking and telecommunication systems
· Manage installations, upgrades and configurations of hardware and software
· Perform periodic backup of information and data to ensure recovery in event of system breakdown
· Define and manage IT Disaster Recovery Strategy for organization
· Develop and document IT policies and implementation using industry best practices
· Plans for systems lifecycle acquisition, deployment, and replacement including decommission and secure destruction
· Plan for implementation of new technical projects, create RFPs and manage bidding process
· Provide input on technical budgets, resource allocation, and determine project schedules
· Support IT infrastructure strategy and long-term planning based on Company objectives
· Oversee day-to-day level 1 to 3 Information Technology service desk requests
· Cultivate strong working relationships with business partners to understand business processes, process flows, business needs, and analyze pain points to identify viable solutions
· Other duties and projects as assigned
Requirements
Education and Abilities Required:
· Bachelor’s degree in related field and 5 years’ experience; industry certifications preferred
· Demonstrated ability to manage multiple deliverables and establish priorities
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills
· Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks/objectives with strong organizational, administrative, and analytical skills
· Ability to manage ambiguity and be a creative problem- solver
· Initiative-taker with the ability to learn new technology
Professional Skills Required:
· Understanding of IT development and delivery methodologies including Agile, DevOps, Scrum, ITSM, ITIL
· Project management background with demonstrated success in complex technology implementation projects
· Proficiency in use and administrator of Microsoft products including Office Suite, Office365, Teams, Sharepoint365, Azure, Active Directory, SQL, ASP.net, IIS, etc.
· ETL (extract/transform/load) and automation experience
· Business process modeling and documentation
· Development of automation application requirements
· Backups and data storage implementation/replication
· Familiarity with Native Android Xamarin Forms development or equivalent
· Network and Firewall implementation and high-level troubleshooting
· Knowledge of Microsoft Windows Servers, VMWare, and server appliances
· Implementation of Remote Access Solutions, VPN & Remote Desktop
· Use of scripting tools or automation software to increase efficiency and effectiveness
· Preferred but not required:
o Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
