Stage 2 Security (S2) is seeking an experienced Cyber Security Architect with a background in supporting large customers and / or Federal customers. As a Cyber Security Architect, you will be part of a dynamic team of enterprise, network, and cloud architects/engineers, supporting the design and implementation of a new enterprise IT network for a government customer. In this role you provide thought leadership in security architecture, design, implementation, and identify management.

Successful candidates will have a blended set of skills and experience across cloud and legacy / hybrid enterprise environments to include: ICAM, datacenter network, SASE, SOAR, and infrastructure security and cloud (Azure / AWS). Recent experience translating business objectives and requirements into deployable Zero Trust, modern auth, and hybrid cloud solutions.

Responsibilities and Qualifications:

• Subject Matter Expert (SME) in designing and implementing solutions around Zero Trust Architecture (ZTA).
• Identifies and evaluates business needs for security gaps and will help to create and implement security strategies and plans that benefit from ZTA technologies.
• Anticipates security requirements and identify sound security controls for applications, systems, processes and organizations that leverage ZTA capabilities or broader enterprise needs for the application and use of ZTA solutions in support of security and business objectives.
• Works with customers to outline roadmaps, strategies, and approaches for the realization of cross cutting security solutions that exploit ZTA product services and capabilities.
• Develops security designs and implementable solutions based on sound enterprise architecture practices.
• Identifies use cases for technical capabilities, lead and conduct hands-on evaluations and develop value proposition for new network security products and services.
• Industry experience in security architecture, analytics, design, and development of enterprise solutions for multiple technology platforms.

Requirements:

• US Citizenship is required, and candidates must be willing to be submitted for a US Government background investigation.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Cybersecurity, or IT
• Additional 4 years of enterprise cybersecurity & architecture experience can substitute degree requirement.
• 4 years of experience performing functions in position description (1 for ZTA specific functions).
• Mapping the 5 pillars of CISA security model to a ZTA solution
• Designing and implementing ZTA in the Federal Government
• Develop requirements for ZTA from Federal Government customers
• Baseline ZTA capability configurations
• Validating and verifying ZTA implementation success and ongoing configuration changes
• Design and implement a ZTA solution (including SASE and SOAR capabilities)
• Creating policy that adheres with the CISA ZTA Maturity Model and NIST standards
• Must have hands-on experience in implementing and validating leading ZTA/SASE commercial products (FedRAMP SASE cloud solutions)
• Experience maintaining a Central Management Server (CMS) to control SASE policies
• All candidates must be in the DC Metro Area, but the work can be performed remotely 

Required Certifications:

• (ISC)2 CISSP
• One or more of the following also required: Forrester Zero Trust certification, CISSP ISSAP, SASE Solution OEM Certification (e.g., Zscaler, Prisma Access, iBoss, etc.), Firewall OEM Certification (e.g., CCNP Security, Palo Alto PCNSE, etc.) and applies skills from certification to develop and execute ZTA roadmap, or OffSec (e.g., OCSP or OCSE) Certification
