JOB SUMMARY: Under the direction of the Compliance Manger, assists in the development and implementation of all compliance systems and activities for St. Paul’s PACE programs, consistent with applicable laws and regulations applicable to each. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: PACE Assist with the development and implementation of compliance systems to satisfy 42 CFR 460.63 and 42 CFR 423.50 et. seq., which include, but are not limited to: Measures that prevent, detect and correct non-compliance with CMS Program Requirements; Measures that prevent, detect and correct fraud, waste and abuse (FWA) Self-evaluations and internal audits and ongoing compliance monitoring System for promptly responding to compliance and FWA issues as they become known System for self-reporting compliance violations to CMS and State agencies as appropriate Assist the PACE team through external audits; oversee creation and submission of, and compliance with, all corrective action plans (CAPS) General Assist in the development and maintenance of policies and procedures Assist in the administration of the NAVEX Policy and Procedure System (Policy Tech) Work with IT to administer HIPAA compliance systems, conduct audits as necessary, investigate HIPAA events and potential breaches, and maintain required documentation Stay current on relevant laws and regulatory requirements Work with other departments to ensure they remain current on relevant laws and regulations Work closely with Quality Improvement staff to correct compliance issues or improve compliance performanceEDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:Bachelor’s degree in health related field preferred. Three to five or more years of relevant compliance experience is required; experience in health-care or aging services compliance highly desirable. Three to five years of relevant management experience highly desirable.
