St Mark Village is Hiring a Dietary Server Near Palm Harbor, FL

St. Mark Village has been serving our residents for over 40 years and are looking for compassionate individuals to serve our residents in the Dietary Assistant role. No late night shifts here! RESPONSIBILITIES: Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Keeps confidential all information not specifically authorized to be given to others.
  • Maintain high standard of cleanliness and order of the dining room, serving area, and kitchen work areas; as well as equipment and utensils.
  • Obtains food supplies needed for daily use in serving area.
  • Prepares beverages, assists in some preparation of food items, prepares cold cart, and desserts for noon and evening meals from productions sheets.
  • Prepares trays and serves food in Care Center Dining Rooms according to menus.
  • Cleans service area and equipment after each meal.
  • Collects and strips trays and dishes for dish washing.
  • Cleans and sets up dining room for next meal.
  • Transports soiled dishes and trays to dish room to be cleaned and returns cleaned, dried dishware to proper places in dining room and kitchen areas.
  • Performs cleaning duties in serving area and dining room as scheduled, including refrigeration, cabinets, and equipment.
  • Ensures Residents on modified diets receive correct food by checking trays.
  • Maintains necessary records at the food serving site.
  • Prepares condiments cup according to census and diet orders.
  • Prepares and delivers snacks and between meal nourishments as ordered.
  • Transports food carts to and from kitchen area to the Care Centers.
  • Provides appropriate substitutes of food with comparable nutritive value when menu item is a food the Resident dislikes.
  • Complies with established policies and procedures for sanitary standards.
  • Accomplishes various tasks efficiently, effectively, and timely to meet meal schedules.
  • Ensures for the proper storage of all refrigerated food items (labeled and dated).
  • Prepares and delivers items ordered from Nursing department on requisition and charge sheets.
  • Observes portion control as instructed.
  • Washes worktables, walls, baseboards, refrigerators, and all equipment.
  • Removes garbage from dining room and serving area. Segregates and places garbage in designated containers.
  • Steam cleans and hoses out garbage cans and all equipment.
  • Transfers supplies and equipment between storage and work areas.
  • Prepares for and delivers items for all special events as requested by Life Enrichment Department.
  • Sweeps and mops floors as necessary.
  • Cleans chairs and table bottoms when required.
  • Demonstrates the correct and safe use of chemicals, supplies, and equipment.
  • Assists with special events to include Life Enrichment events.
  • Assists with interdisciplinary tasks such as transporting and washing Resident wheelchairs.
  • Observes and follows safety policies and procedures.
  • Observes and follows infection control policies and procedures.
  • Attends all mandatory in-services as required.
  • Demonstrates positive guest relations to internal and external customers.
  • Team Members are required to report to their Department Director all incidents of actual or possible abuse of a Resident that they become aware of. Abuse in this respect includes, but is not limited to, verbal, sexual, physical, and/or mental abuse, corporal punishment, involuntary seclusion, neglect, and/or any misappropriation of property concerning St. Mark Village Residents. Team Members will make the report as soon as possible after they become aware of the incident of actual or possible abuse.
  • May be assigned other related duties and responsibilities as required by Care Center Dietary Manager.

REQUIRED SKILL, EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
No prior experience or training. High school education preferred, but not necessary. Must be willing to learn on the job.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

While performing the duties of this job, the Team Member is frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions. The Team Member is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts fumes, or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, outside weather conditions, non-weather related extreme cold and extreme heat, and risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate
