St. Madeleine Sophie's Center is Hiring a Program Manager Near El Cajon, CA

BASIC FUNCTIONS: Under direction of CEO & DDPS, Responsible smooth running of all program activities. This includes but is not limited to planning, training and implementation of all program curriculums. Serves as liaison between SMSC and all relevant state and local agencies as well as parents/caregivers.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Thorough knowledge of all SMSC Policies & Procedures required
  • Thorough knowledge of Program Design required
  • Reflects appropriate, professional attitudes based on SMSC policies & procedures
  • Effectively serves as liaison between program office, internal departments, parents, care providers, social workers, and adults.
  • Responsible to verify daily program participant attendance, payroll & times studies are accurate.
  • Responsible to verify staff work hours are monitored, documented & accurate. 
  • Responsible to assure that all end of month deadlines are met.
  • Responsible to verify all new intakes are processed according to SMSC policies & procedures.
  • Responsible to verify that the day to day running of all program activities is productive, efficient and meets SMSC & SDRC guidelines.
  • Responsible to verify that all program participant documentation is done within time frame identified through SMSC policies & Procedures
  • Responsible to verify that all new staff participate in appropriate orientation for department
  • Responsible to verify that all goals/objectives created for each program participant are addressed on a daily basis.
  • Supervises and evaluates all levels of program staff.
  • At least monthly, provides In-service training for all departmental staff.
  • Creates and develops annual departmental goals & objectives keeping them in forefront of daily programming.
  • Responsible to verify that SMSC does everything possible to meet needs of all program participants served.
  • Responsible to verify that program instructors maintain the consumer’s functional skills, self-advocacy, employment training, community integration, self-care and social recreation as required by program design
  • Responsible to verify that all program participants meet standards set down by San Diego Regional Center and other applicable requirements are maintained.
  • Acts as liaison between program offices, parents, care providers, social workers, program participants and administrative office.
  • Responsible that case mgrs./asst program managers are functioning within SMSC program policies and Procedures.
  • Report all accident/injuries as required in writing including any and all suspected adult abuse as well as discrimination or harassment.
  • Monitor & report any concerns related to health and safety to DDP/CEO or designee. This would also include any documented or suspected unlawful discrimination, adult abuse or harassment
  • Based on CA Labor Code section 512,and Section 12 of the California Wage Order, All Managers are responsible and accountable to verify that all hourly staff take required minimum of 1 30 minute break and 1 10 minute break or breaks in accordance to their work schedules.
  • Must participate in continuing education, thereby taking courses that are related to your roles and responsibilities including but not limited to, workshops, seminars and academic classes. The hours should be documented and they are required to be a minimum of 30 hours every 24 months.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum of two years experience in direct training of developmentally disabled adults.
  • Knowledge of behavior modification.
  • Minimum of BA degree or equivalent. MA preferred
  • Ability to develop consumer program plan and keep detailed records.
  • Must be able to conform to applicable laws, rules and regulations pertained in Title 17 and 22 of the State of California.
  • Ability to work with staff, consumers, care providers, parents, social workers and other community agencies.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, orally and in written form.
  • Ability to deal with constant change in a fast paced setting.
  • First Aid and CPR required for the position.
