Position Details

Eligible for a $15,000 Sign on Bonus upon Hire! Full time Nursing Supervisor at St. Luke's Surrey Place

Description

Under the direction of the D.O.N. performs functions of a R.N. Manager in designing, implementing and evaluating the resident care delivery systems through supervision of staff productivity and effectiveness. Will perform duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission and values.

Principle Accountabilities % Of Time Spent

1.Promotes Surrey Place philosophy, goals and objectives (5%)

2.Develops and implements patient care services, policies and procedures. (5%) 3.Monitors and maintains appropriate staffing levels for all divisions (7%)

4.Makes nursing/housekeeping rounds. Identifies and institutes corrective action. (5%)

5.Follows up on complaints, concerns from residents, family and staff. (10%)

6.Assists in the development of all division personnel. (5%)

7.Interviews, hires, supervises and assists with evaluating all staff members. ( 5%)

8.Assures departments meet or exceed the requirements of JCAHO, division of Aging and other federal regulatory and reimbursement agencies. (10%)

9.Monitors staff productivity and effectiveness (10%)

10.Serves as liaison to other departments, medical staff, residents and families to facilitate information sharing and problem solving. (5%)

11.Assists nurse managers with MDS 2.0 process/education of staff. (3%)

12.Participates in seminars/education programs (3%)

13.Assists staff with problem solving (3%) 14.Assists with writing policies/procedures (9%)

15.Provides informal inservices for facility (3%)

16.Knowledge of Medicare/Medicaid regulations and ensures compliance while on duty. (5%)

17.Performs other work duties as assigned. (5%)

18.Performs other work duties as assigned. (2%)

Education

Nursing Diploma or Associates in Nursing required.

License - Certification - Registration (Text Only)

Current licensure as a R.N. in the State of Missouri required.

Experience

Prefer 2 years experience as a professional nurse. Prefer 2 years management experience. The assessment, care and treatment provided by the staff will be consistent with the specific age related needs of the patient. The staff is competent to care for patient age groups including the adult and geriatric patient.
