RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ASSISTED LIVING DIRECTOR

Planning, directing and organizing all services of Assisted Living in accordance with current rules, regulations and guidelines

Provide hiring, evaluation, training and consistent oversight of caregivers and work assignments

Organize internal and external marketing and events to meet occupancy goals

Ability to build effective working relationships and a team atmosphere with people of various backgrounds

Possess initiative, good judgment and leadership ability to work well with the community, tenants, families and staff

Possess understanding and compassion for the elderly population

QUALIFICATIONS FOR ASSISTED LIVING DIRECTOR

• State of Iowa Assisted Living Manager certification or ability to obtain certification within 90 days
• Experience with Assisted Living or long-term care programs
• One year of management or supervisory experience
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Heart for working with elderly people
