As the Manager of the Teens and Emerging Adults (TEA) Program, you will be able to strengthen the quality and safety culture across all aspects of adolescent and young adult patient care through the clinical improvement process. You will improve the quality of adolescent and young adult care by providing program management for the ongoing development, implementation, operations, and evaluation of existing programs and by coordinating the medical and psychosocial needs of patients, setting standards for meeting these needs, and determining best practices. You will also manage the educational programming for (TEA) patients, caregivers, and providers.
Work Schedule:
Monday - Friday 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
Responsibilities
  • Creates and manages the Teens and Emerging Adults (TEA) Program to include development and implementation of new program components, in alignment with the strategic plan. Provides for TEA clinical services, research, educational programming and program coordination.
  • Identifies barriers to patient referrals, enrollment, and retention in the TEA program and works with department directors and program leaders to develop and implement strategies to enhance TEA patient participation in the program.
  • Collaborates with other disciplines and public relations teams in developing and managing a comprehensive outreach and promotion strategy for the TEA program through written, verbal, and social media communications.
  • Develops and maintains systematic reporting strategies in conjunction with the Epic build team to track specified programmatic metrics and provides regular updates to stakeholders including TEA leadership team and steering committee and department/division leaders.
  • Demonstrates the knowledge and skills (competencies) necessary to provide care appropriate to any age-related needs of the patient. Demonstrates knowledge of the principles of growth and development. Develops and implements regular patient and provider-focused evaluations of the TEA program.
Minimum Education
  • Master's degree required.
Minimum Experience
  • Five (5) years of related program management or leadership experience.
  • Experience in adolescent and young adult psychosocial and/or nursing care preferred.

  • Must possess one of the following:
  • (LC: RN- TN) Must possess a current Tennessee State Board of Nursing license if primary residence is Tennessee or a Nurse Licensure Non-Compact state. (LC: RN-ARK or RN-MISS) Must possess a current State Board of Nursing license in the state of primary residence if the state is a Nurse Licensure Compact state.
  • (LC: AP-TN) Must possess a current Advanced Practice Nurse License issued by the Tennessee State Board of Nursing and (LC:ANCC-NP, LC: AA-NP, or LC: PNCB) Nurse Practitioner Certification: American Nurses Credentialing Center or American Academy of Nurse Practitioners or Pediatric Nursing Certification Board.
  • If a Physician Assistant (LC: PA-TN) Licensed by the State of TN Board of Medical Examiners to practice as a Physician Assistant. (LC: NCCPA-CERT) and Certified by the National Commission for Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
  • Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the State of Tennessee.
  • Licensed Psychologist, Health Service Provider in the State of Tennessee.
  • Board Certified Chaplain through the Association of Professional Chaplains.
  • Certification as a Child Life Specialist through the Association of Child Life Professionals.
  • (LC:TEACH-TN) Current State of Tennessee Teaching License (Apprentice License acceptable).
