Responsibilities

Performs the rollout, maintenance, support, security and upgrade of servers, networking equipment, PC’s and operating systems. Supports St. John’s Riverside Hospital and all other affiliates. Maintains, analyzes, troubleshoots and repairs all microcomputer and network hardware. Installs new software releases, system upgrades, evaluates and installs patches and resolves software related problems on all microcomputer and network software. Maintains and supports the email and Internet security systems and deploys strategic security policies. Develops, maintains and supports the hospital and departmental Intranets. Performs system backups and recovery. Supports and maintains user account information including rights, security and systems groups. Performs departmental training on new technology and projects, providing documentation and assistance when needed. Must attend all required hospital in-service programs. Responsible for reviewing and incorporating the Hospital and Department Mission Statements in daily work activities.Responsible for reviewing Hospital and Departmental Continuous Quality Improvement goals, procedures and models.Assumes other responsibilities when assigned.Performs unrelated duties in time of emergency.

Qualifications

5 to 7 years’ experience with microcomputer, windows software and networks.Working knowledge of: Windows Operating System, Citrix PC, Networking and server Hardware/Software. Help Desk software, Anti-Virus, Email, Internet security, Microsoft Office Ethernet or TCP/IP Topologies, PC Emulation. Knowledge of CompTIA A , N , S . Good communication skills as well as customer relationship skills. Familiar with a variety of the field’s concepts, practices and procedures. Associates degree in IT with additional technical school training in computer technology and industry certifications. Bachelor’s degree in IT or equivalent education/experience level preferred.
