St John Health is Hiring a Supervisor Environmental Services Near Jackson, WY

Job Description Summary:
Assists the EVS Manager with daily operations and supervision of the housekeeping and laundry departments. Responsibilities include (but are not limited to) scheduling staff assignments, supply requisition, monitoring and evaluating staff performance. Assist with recruitment, orientation and training of new hires and on-going education for department staff. Provides coaching, feedback, and counseling to staff members according to the guidelines set by SJH. Performs housekeeping/laundry duties if needed. Each employee is equally empowered to assist the hospital in meeting its annual goals of financial responsibility, customer satisfaction and quality care. Each employee shares equally in following SJH's Problem Resolution Process. Performs duties according to the Scope of Service for ES. Adheres to and practices SJH's Corporate Compliance Program and follows all HIPAA regulation.
Essential Functions:
1. Operations & Staffing
Assists housekeeping manager with the supervision of daily operations to assure staff compliance with performance criteria and hospital standards. Provides leadership for housekeeping staff; coaches, counsels and provides disciplinary action according to hospital policies. Assists manager with Problem Resolution Process and other miscellaneous responsibilities. Completes staff schedules to fit department needs; makes necessary adjustments and assumes area assignments during staff shortages. Reviews competencies with all employees annually and as updates occur. Provides ongoing training and in-services to staff on a routine basis. Effectively communicates daily feedback to manager and supervisor regarding concerns, issues, updates etc. that affect housekeeping and laundry. Maintains, develops and updates skills. Responds quickly and courteously to requests for services. 
2. Orientation & Training of New Employees
Assists in interviewing and scheduling new hires for orientation. Explains/reviews department orientation check list during first three months of hire. Explains/reviews general non-clinical, housekeeping and laundry competencies during 90-day orientation period. Explains proper priorities when performing job duties. 
3. Audit of Performance
Perform ongoing audits of all employee's performance, completing documentation and reviewing with employee. Provide feedback to manager regarding audits. Provide input and assist in completing and reviewing employee's annual evaluations.
Job Requirements:
Minimum Work Experience:
Required-
3 Years Previous supervisory experience or related experience in housekeeping/laundry employment.
Preferred- Good communication and interpersonal skills. Basic computer skills. Must be thorough and detailed in all assignments. Demonstrate an ability to problem-solve and make decisions according to priorities and standards. Must be able to work quickly and adapt to frequent changes in routine. 
Functional Demands:
Working Conditions:

Hospital setting. Working with cleaning agents and potential hazardous or infectious waste. Operating/maintaining housekeeping, laundry and floor equipment. Work areas may be crowded, noisy and temps may vary. Some office setting work. Must be flexible with work schedule as days off or shifts may vary. Must be on-site at the SJH campus or other facilities to fulfill the responsibilities of this role.
Physical Requirements:
Must be physically able to bend, kneel and raise arms above shoulder level. Must be able to push and pull essential housekeeping, laundry and floor equipment. Must be able to lift 50 pounds. Must be on feet standing or walking or intermittent sitting, standing and computer use.
