We are seeking a Mammography Technologist to become a part of our team! You will be responsible for performing Mammograms and Breast Ultrasounds for screening and diagnostic purposes according to policies and protocols of SHF Radiology Department.

Responsibilities

Activities of a Mammography Technologist will include, but is not limited to the following:

• Performs mammography radiographic exams and breast ultrasounds ensuring compliance with all radiation safety procedures:
• Document patient mammogram services by completing patient record charting.
• Schedule follow-up appointments, as needed.
• Completion of referral documentation.
• Performs quality assurance on mammography and ultrasound equipment.
• Identify and report any Incident i.e., accidents, complaints, or equipment malfunction to department management as per SHF’s protocol.
• Gain patient cooperation by reducing anxieties; providing explanations of imaging procedures; explaining equipment; answering questions
• Knowledgeable of HIPAA and OSHA regulations
• Demonstrate commitment to the Partners-in-Caring process by integrating SHF culture in all internal and external customer interactions; delivers on our brand promise of "You are more than just a number " through innovation, accountability, empowerment, collaboration, compassion, and results.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology and/or Graduate of an approved program of mammography technology.
• Current license or temporary license by the Texas Medical Board (MRT), required
• Registered Radiology Technologist by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT-R) and/or Registered Mammography Technologist by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT-M)
• At least 1 year of experience as Mammography Technologist or will agree to 40 hours of Mammography training if no Mammography work experience.
• Experience with diagnostic procedures such as Breast Ultrasound & Dexa Scan, preferred.
• Certified in Basic or Advanced Life Support
• Ability to work with frequent interruptions and maintain emotional control under stress
• Detailed oriented and organized.
• Great interpersonal and communication skills
• Excellent customer service skills
• COVID-19 Vaccinated
• Bilingual (Spanish/English) a plus
• Willing to travel to coverage locations: Northwest and Greenspoint Health Centers

Working Conditions

• Ability to lift and/or maneuver patients in conjunction with others in order to perform job functions. Must be able to stand, stoop, lift and walk without restrictions.
