Position Description:
Aug Prep is looking to hire a High School Physical Education for the 2022-2023 school year. The ideal candidate will be an exceptional collaborator and team player, have a deep understanding of literacy within the content area of physical education, and an ability to connect with and inspire students. Wisconsin Certification desirable but not required. We are particularly interested in educators passionate about working in urban education as a part of a high-performing, driven staff. Ideal candidates will also be well versed in strategies to promote metacognitive engagement and be willing to go the extra mile for students. Candidates should be organized, detail oriented, and show expertise in developing lesson plans. The Physical Education Teacher will develop in each pupil an understanding of the relationship of good body function and exercise; motivate each pupil to cultivate physical fitness, hygienic habits, and good social and emotional adjustment; discover and develop talents of pupils in physical achievement; develop strength, skill, agility, poise, and coordination in individual, dual, and team physical activities and sports, in accordance with each pupil’s ability.
