SSP Innovations LLC is Hiring a Solution Architect (Sales Support) Near Centennial, CO

Description

An SSP Sales Support Solution Architect (Solution Architect) is a person who is responsible for the overall design of a proposed client solution, who also leads the effort to sufficiently discover and define the problem itself as well as scope and estimate the expected effort. The Solution Architect will maintain good working relationships with and gather feedback from subject matter experts throughout SSP in order to properly identify the right work tasks and assign corresponding accurate levels of effort. The Solution Architect will draw upon a blend of leadership, consulting, technical expertise, and utility domain knowledge to establish a position of trust with SSP’s clients. In Agile development terms, the Solution Architect is the Product Owner and will ensure that the end product exceeds the client’s expectations. The Solution Architect will piece together the full solution which includes splitting the work into appropriate phases, program increments, workstreams, and sprints along with the correct resources and durations. The Solution Architect is meant to operate without a billable utilization goal given the nature of his or her responsibilities.

The following are duties and responsibilities specific to Sales Support:

  • Develops Microsoft Project Plans and Statements of Work while following Sales Support solutioning and artifact standards, especially as they relate to SQM.
  • Work with appropriate resources throughout the company who may be able to assist with content and provide feedback for Sales Support artifacts and scoping discussions, whenever necessary.
  • Work with the Sales Support operations team to properly track and update artifact status throughout the opportunity lifecycle.
  • Support the Sales team and their processes, and support project kickoff meetings to ensure smooth transition from sales to implementation.
  • Provide Solutioning Notes and a list of assumptions to the Statement of Work (SOW) Writers upon estimating and scoping an opportunity.
  • Review documentation and deliverables, as needed.
  • Achieve successful delivery of accurate, timely, and consistent estimates and scoping artifacts, and ensure that my team members succeed also.
  • Assist SSP Project Managers in understanding project scope and maintaining client trust.

My duties and responsibilities in this position are:

  • Provide overall technical leadership for scoping and estimating a systems implementation and integration opportunity. 
  • Assist delivery team leadership in making staffing decisions based on the spirit of scoping and estimation artifacts.
  • Serve as a mentor to teammates as they develop and learn new skills.
  • Contribute to SSP’s thought leadership in our industry
  • Help establish and maintain delivery patterns and best practices that will distinguish SSP’s services from those of our competition
  • I will conduct myself in a professional manner when representing SSP Innovations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree is required
  • 10 years’ experience of implementing solutions using Esri’s ArcGIS Platform
  • 10 years’ experience in IT or professional services leadership and delivery
  • 5 years’ experience working within the utilities industry, either in the transmission or distribution of electric or gas commodities (Electric or Gas T&D); experience within the telecom industry is a plus
  • Ability to distill complex technical requirements down into a logical, translatable, and comprehensive form in order to communicate these concepts to customers, partners, and other SSP staff.
