SSOE supports a number of Fortune 100 companies on exciting projects to help them realize their vision for the future—a future that impacts all of us. As a Marketing Communications Coordinator, you’ll learn about how we do business and gain broad exposure to the B2B marketing communication field promoting an interesting and diverse brand in the AEC industry. In this position, you’ll be responsible for coordinating and developing company-wide marketing collateral as well as supporting multi-channel campaign development and execution. The ideal candidate should be graphically inclined—understand style; able to create aesthetically pleasing graphics in line with brand standards—but also have a strong understanding of marketing concepts including positioning, target markets, and strategy. This position includes significant hands-on involvement in content development from idea to execution.

We’re looking for a team player who is energetic, organized, creative, and self-motivated. We take our collaborative culture seriously and want someone who is looking to contribute to something bigger than themselves and celebrate shared successes. This position reports up through a centralized corporate marketing department to ensure consistency of corporate messaging and brand throughout all communications.

Responsibilities

A Typical Day Might Include:

Collaboration. Working with other marketing team members as well as multiple contributors and approvers throughout the company each day—making project management and organizational skills critical. Interacting with staff at all levels of the organization, including but not limited to, executive and senior leadership, business development staff, project managers, and discipline leads to advance projects forward.

Campaign Development. Supporting campaigns with the goal to transition into developing and managing your own campaigns—leveraging the help and expertise of our social media and PR specialists. Understanding target markets, developing targeted messages, developing creative ways of delivering messages, and project management.

Collateral. Creating brochures, sell sheets, project profile write-ups, and other informative marketing material to best position SSOE expertise and highlight differentiators. Interviewing our subject matter experts on varied topics and translating them into compelling messages.

Social Media. Proactively creating social media content for SSOE’s media platforms including LinkedIn, Facebook, and Twitter. Utilizing solid communication skills and judgment necessary to post on SSOE's behalf and coordinate approval, timing, and planning with SSOE’s strategic content manager.

Video. Managing video production projects with outside resources acting as a project manager to own and drive the process, while achieving buy-in from stakeholders. Ensuring creative direction aligns with project goals.

Website . Writing refreshed content for existing pages as well as developing landing pages for promotional campaigns.

Qualifications

Qualifications You’ll Need on Day One:

Bachelor’s degree in marketing, visual communications, graphic design, or a related field.

Strong project management, organizational, and communication skills.

Stylistic attention to detail. Candidates should submit a sample portfolio of work, if available. Must be well-versed in simplifying and clarifying complex ideas into compelling marketing messages.

Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills.

Valid driver's license required. May be waived for international assignments.

Software:

Microsoft Office tools. Intermediate – Ability to easily navigate Word, PowerPoint, and Excel programs.

InDesign. Intermediate – Ability to perform graphic layout of documents using templates and following graphic standards.

Photoshop. Intermediate –Editing images and creating content for the website or social media combining stock or employee photography and text.

Bonus Points if You Have:

AEC industry knowledge and experience.

Basic understanding of the WordPress platform or experience editing websites using other platforms.

Experience using Canva to create graphics for social media use.
