JOB TITLE: Systems Engineer LOCATION: San Francisco, CA DUTIES: Install, configure, and manage Microsoft and VMware technologies, and other infrastructure; Monitor and maintain the infrastructure to ensure it is secure and up to date with the latest security patches; Document system configurations, technical diagrams, and standard operating procedures; Automate via scripting and other tools to gain efficiencies and reduce opportunities for human error; Partner with business and technology subject-matter experts to elicit and translate business requirements into technological solutions; Respond to escalated requests for technical assistance; Coordinate with various teams on projects and escalations; Advise and make recommendations to management concerning infrastructure and related issues; Study emerging technologies, tools, techniques, and methodologies; and Perform scheduled maintenance and provide support outside of normal working hours. May telecommute and work remotely from any location in the United States. REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electronics Engineering and 7 years of experience in the job offered or 7 years of experience using software and technologies such as Microsoft Windows Server, Active Directory, IIS, and VMware technologies.
