SRC, Inc is Hiring a Logistics Engineer Near Syracuse, NY

SRCTec currently seeks an experienced and flexible Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) Engineer to join and advance with our life cycle team. The selectee will be responsible for the full spectrum of front-end logistics engineering projects/tasks including performing logistics support analyses, creating product support analyses and logistics product data, developing PPLs and RPSTLs, and supporting maintenance and sparing predictions. The role includes creatively developing LPD for new SRC products in development and for fielded SRC products in use by our military and commercial customers. The successful candidate will also serve as the Logistics Project Lead for one or more small programs.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform maintenance planning and logistics support analyses, develop level of repair analyses (LORA), create SM&R codes, and conduct related supportability analyses
  • Analyze engineering data (such as drawings, schematics, BOMs, reports, etc.) and engineering/manufacturing change proposals for logistics impacts
  • Create maintenance and reliability predictions, sparing forecasts, LCC projections, etc.
  • Coordinate with design engineers to ensure logistics expectations are designed into new products
  • Apply existing and shape new logistics processes to improve our sustainment services
  • Manage schedules, budgets, and customer needs for assigned programs
  • Propose logistics requirements in proposals to meet customers’ stated and unstated sustainment needs
  • Prepare sustainment plans and reports for customer delivery by interfacing with engineering, manufacturing, and product support personnel
  • Routinely interface with Government customers and sub-contractors to ensure logistics planning and data meet requirements

Position Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline with 5 or more years of logistics engineering experience in the DoD sector; OR any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
  • Ability to collect and synthesize data from a variety of engineering sources including specifications, schematics, parts lists, interviews, and hands-on product use
  • Proven ability to write clear, concise, and structured technical documents
  • Strong understanding of or direct experience with GEIA-STD-0007 or MIL-STD-1388, MIL-HDBK-470, and other common logistics-related specifications is a plus
  • Experience using relational databases for LPD, such as PowerLOGJ, EAGLE, or SLICwave is a plus
  • Ability to work on multiple projects concurrently and meet strict deadlines
  • Must be able to work efficiently and effectively in our collaborative team environment
  • Demonstrate strong organizational, project management, and communications skills
  • Direct experience using or familiarity with DoD radar/electronic products used by field-level customers is strongly preferred
