Mecho is hiring for a Senior Software Engineer in our Long Island City Headquarters

Our sales force is recognized for pioneering innovative and classic window management solutions to the Architecture, Design, and Engineering Community and supporting our network of limited Mecho Dealer network.

Looking for a reliable, self-motivated individual ready to make an immediate impact in an expanding Electrical Engineering Department. Must be capable of wearing multiple hats while catering to a fast paced and dynamic work environment. This individual must be team-oriented while being capable of working independently on a project basis. Must have good coding skills as well as excellent communications and customer interface skills. Duties will include writing code for manufacturing, production, and custom order entry as well as iPhone app, Android app, and windows commissioning tools for installers in the field. Documenting all code and writing professional reports is common. The candidate must be able to write a spec for their designs using wire frames, screen specifications, or an equivalent for approval by management before coding.

Requirements

Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent combination of education and experience

• Self Starter that takes initiative to get things done while also following up with management as required
• 5 years experience using Java, swift, C and delphi.
• Linux experience desirable
• GIT development environment
• Capable of writing and maintaining macros in excel
• Experience developing and maintaining mobile apps for both iPhone and Android native environments. XCode and Android Studio.
• Experience designing an app, beta testing, and releasing into the Google Play store and the iPhone App Store.
• Capable of designing apps for Bluetooth communication
• Capable with different serial communication protocols including UDP, TCP.
• Proficient in SQL Servers and SQL statement creation
• Experience developing and maintaining executables for windows environments
• Working knowledge with PCs, Microsoft Office, etc.
• Working knowledge with Oscilloscopes, DVM Meters, Function Generators, etc.

Additional (preferred) Experience

• Experience AWS and server deployment
• Working knowledge with RS232, RS485 communications a plus
• Experience with security, lighting, home automation, building automation systems a plus
