Spring EQ is seeking a Help Desk Technician to join its growing technology team. The Help Desk Technician’s primary responsibilities will be to offer support and technical assistance to customers who are using software, hardware, or other computer systems and need help completing tasks or troubleshooting problems through diagnostic tests and remote access to their computers or the software they are using. Spring EQ views the help desk mission as a critical service role within our organization. The successful applicant will bring great problem-solving skills, an ability to apply established best practices, and a customer focused attitude. Spring EQ also treats this role as a potential opportunity for candidates with minimal IT experience to grow into other roles within the IT world, including but not limited to DevOps/Infrastructure, Business Analysis and Quality Assurance Analysts. 

This role will be on a hybrid location schedule of 2-3 days per week in our Radnor office, working the remaining days remotely from home.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the first point of contact for customers seeking technical assistance over multiple communication channels such as phone or e-mail 
  • Creating and updating service requests in Spring EQ’s issue tracking system 
  • Resolving problems with networks and in-house computer systems dealing with the loan origination process 
  • Diagnosing system errors and other issues with laptops, network connectivity and in-house computer systems dealing with loan origination process 
  • Following up with customers to ensure full resolution of issues 
  • Installing or changing software to fix issues 
  • Educating users, walking them through proper way to utilize software, in order to resolve issues 
  • Remotely accessing hardware or software for clients to make changes and fix problems 
  • Direct unresolved issues to the next level of support personnel 
  • Identify and suggest possible improvements on procedures 
  • Ability to work alternating hours (west coast) and occasional Saturday hours when required 
  • Assisting in the set up and deployment of laptop computers 
  • Identifying production defects/bugs and work with Business Analyst team to document business requirements to resolve those defects 

Qualifications

  • Proven experience working in a Microsoft Windows & Active Directory environment 
  • Experience working with Office365 applications 
  • Good understanding of computer systems, mobile devices and other tech products 
  • Ability to diagnose and resolve basic technical issues 
  • Ability to Communicate Effectively to help customers fix their issues
  • Writing and Editing Skills to aid in writing and updating knowledge base documents 
  • Proficiency in English 
  • Calm demeanor on the phone with a genuine desire to help others 
  • Natural curiosity to learn new skills and willingness to contribute by filling multiple roles 
  • Prior help desk technician or other customer support role is preferred
