Accounting Clerk Position

Responsibilities:

Accounts Receivable

• Record manual tuition payments to student accounts
• Collection of tuition payments that failed to process automatically
• Track and bill student accounts for additional services such as tutoring, lessons, and materials
• Process and record bank deposits

Enrollment

• Register, enroll and process student contracts and payments for new students.
• Reenroll students annually
• Provide timely enrollment reports to school leadership and Admission Director
• Enrollment and payment processing for extended care and summer camp participants

Customer Service/Clerical

• Assist parents with questions on their account and processing manual payments
• Contact parents about past due accounts
• Maintain department files

Core Competencies

• At least 3 years’ experience in accounting or related field; BA preferred
• NetSuite experience strongly preferred
• Excellent customer service skills
• Proficient in MS Office, particularly Excel and Word
• Strong mathematical, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Exceptional accuracy and attention to detail
• Strong organization skills
• Excellent oral and written skills
• Proven ability to handle multiple projects
• Quick learner with good judgement
