Job Summary
Quality duties include preventing, troubleshooting and problem-solving quality issues in manufacturing, and auditing manufacturing and quality procedures. Coaching Sportech personnel in aspects of product quality the Sportech Management System (SMS). Quality technician also works very closely with internal departments and external suppliers on quality related issues. Quality technician may be involved multiple business processes including Development, Customer Service, Supply Chain and Manufacturing.
Essential Job Functions
· Serve as the quality assurance resource to value stream leadership for scrap prevention, problem identification, resolution, scrap reporting and continual improvement.
· Utilize data to solve quality issues and recommends improvements.
· Assist in issue, disposition and follow up on internal & supplier non-conformances.
· Performs period material audits to determine conformity to Sportech and customer specifications.
· Interfaces with value stream leadership and suppliers to resolve quality issues and assures conformance to all applicable requirements. This includes all applicable corrective actions.
· Acts as backup to all quality functions including receiving inspection, manufacturing inspection and quality engineering.
· Involved with continuous improvement projects.
· Participates in daily cell board performance meetings in manufacturing and warehouse.
· Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Minimum Requirements
· Vocational or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
· Requires a high school diploma.
· 3 - 5 years quality experience related ISO experience.
· Completion of a quality course work and/or certification program.
· Excellent internal & external customer services skills.
· Strong understanding of manufacturing processes.
· Proficient use of computer software.
