VP of People

Spokeo is a people search engine that both enlightens and empowers our customers. With over 12 billion records and 18 million visitors per month, we reconnect friends, reunite families, prevent fraud, and more.

As the VP of People, you will be responsible for full-cycle talent management, which includes employer branding, recruiting, onboarding, employee engagement, performance management, employee lifecycle and career development, HR, culture, events and morale, and more. You will shape the direction of the top pillar of any tech company, its people, supercharge talent management with innovative tech and initiatives, and help drive business performance. This position reports to the C-Suite.

Responsibilities:
  • Be responsible for full-cycle talent management, which includes recruiting, onboarding, employee engagement, employee lifecycle and career development, total rewards, performance management, workforce planning, and more

  • Lead the Talent Acquisition team to scale hiring cost-effectively while maintaining the hiring bar or standard, especially for technical roles, and curating a near-flawless candidate experience given the fierce competition for talent in today’s environment

  • Lead the HR and Culture teams to improve employee performance, engagement, learning and development, and retention

  • Measure employee engagement through participation in events and take-rate of various formal and informal initiatives and make adjustments to improve engagement and participation; weave Spoke into the fabric of teammates’ daily lives

  • Improve talent analytics to identify development opportunities, measure progress, and deliver actionable insights

  • Improve HR-related analytics to glean insights into employee tenure and employee investment/total rewards

  • Collaborate with Executive Leadership and Managers on performance management

  • Collaborate with Executive Leadership on organizational development to drive business performance, transformation, and succession planning

  • Collaborate with Executive Leadership on compensation, benefits, and career development and ladders to better attract and retain top-tier talent

  • Collaborate with Executive Leadership on workforce planning, resource allocation, and budgets to grow the business sustainably

  • Collaborate with Engineering to supercharge talent management with new technologies

  • Collaborate with Marketing to elevate employer branding

  • Identify, hire, and manage third-party agencies to help scale our teams and capabilities

  • Find opportunities to introduce technology to improve employee experience and reduce the amount of manual work done by the members of Spokeo’s people organization

Requirements:
  • A Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, Organizational Leadership, or equivalent experience

  • 7 years of experience with talent management, recruiting, and/or HR at a high-growth tech company

  • 5 years of experience with performance management, workforce planning, and succession planning

  • 5 years of experience with organizational design and development as well as process management/improvement and efficiency involving technology and business processes

  • 3 years of experience with HR, talent data, and analytics

  • Experience with employer branding preferred

  • Great skills in organization, communication, and stakeholder management
