Job Responsibilities:

The Janitorial/Housekeeper will vacuum, mop, dust, stock supplies, handle trash, wash windows, shampoo carpets, do laundry, and maintain locker room & restrooms. This position has frequent contact with members and employees. Part of job performance requires a positive attitude and a real commitment to competence, job knowledge, pride, professional appearance, courtesy, and extra effort.

• Be courteous, professional, pleasing, and helpful to all members
• Stock locker rooms & restrooms
• Laundry gathering, washing, drying, folding, stocking, and distributing to all locations
• Maintain cleanliness. where uniform & name tag
• Relay information (complaints, problems, etc.) to supervisor
• Communicate regularly with supervisor bringing to her/his attention items of concern or questions.
• Other duties as assigned to meet the Club's needs.

Requirements

• 18 years or older
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience preferred, but not required (will train).
• Ability to organize workflow daily
• Manual dexterity and ability to operate cleaning equipment such as carpet extractors, etc.
• Ability to climb ladders
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds of unbalanced weight regularly and to push carts of towels to/from laundry area
• Ability to lift up to 80 pounds occasionally
• Understand proper use of various cleaning materials and equipment
• Ability to be on your feet for most of the shift
• Ability to pass a criminal background check
• Positive attitude; takes pride and ownership in job
