Overview:

Texas Motor Speedway is a key location in the Speedway Motorsports nationwide network of entertainment venues. Speedway Motorsports maintains a consistent focus on four core principles:

Position Responsibility:

• Generate purchases orders using the accounts payable software (AvidXchange)
• Implement an inventory/work order software (ManagerPlus) for the entire facility
• Maintain and update the yearly capital expenditures budget for all departments
• Request certificates of insurance from all department vendors and work with legal team ensure proper coverage is obtained and documented
• Assist with payroll software (ADP Workforce Now) and publishing of department weekly schedules
• Coordinate travel for department employees and for shared event employees from other Speedway Motorsports facilities
• Organize shipping/receiving for USPS mail and package distribution, both incoming and outgoing and maintain relationships with shipping vendors
• Manage department meeting calendar (in person, phone or via Zoom)
• Assist Vice President of Operations and Director of Operations in developing meeting agendas, note taking and distribution of recaps
• Various day-to-day office operations such as purchasing and stocking office supplies, filing and/or scanning of documents/waivers onto the departments shared file system and updating vendor/employee contact lists
• Other duties assigned by the Vice President of Operations

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED (equivalency) and/or minimum of 2 years related experience
• Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Excel, Word)
• Experience in utilizing a purchase order (accounts payable) software
• Proficient in the English language, knowledge of a second language desirable
• Excellent written and oral communications skills
• Positive attitude and creative problem solver who enjoys multi-tasking

Job Type: Full-time

Compensation: $20 - $25 hourly (determined based on experience)
