The Opportunity:
Speech-Language Pathologist work under the general direction of the Speech Department Supervisor or Director of Therapy Services. Work alongside a team of approximately 24 other clinicians from various disciplines to create innovative interdisciplinary educational and clinical treatment programs. This is a center based position, so no need to travel from session to session. Enjoy working a modified school year schedule with breaks throughout the year to enjoy the holidays, summer and spring breaks. No nights, no weekends. Core business hours are 8:00am-3:00pm.
Essential Duties:
The SLP (Speech Language Pathologist) in this classification is responsible for assessing,
planning and implementing a speech and language program for students with communication disabilities; providing information for program development and student placement; participating as an active member of the Individualized
Educational Program (IEP) team; tracking student progress; maintaining case files and creating reports; performing a variety of instructional services within a well-defined framework of policies, procedures and objectives; and doing other related work as required. Provide and present written reports and goals needed to meet identified objectives. Provide direct and/or consultation services as defined on the IEP. Implement speech and language goals.
Preferred Qualifications:
1. Experience in Speech Language program
2. Master’s Degree from an accredited college or university
3. Strong behavior management and positive discipline skills
4. Demonstrated ability to work effectively with professional personnel, community and parents
5. Ability to coordinate and direct the work of instructional assistants, support personnel
