Job Description

This senior engineering position will focus on leading a team to produce detailed plans and specifications for transportation projects. Responsibilities and qualifications will include:

Responsibilities

• Oversee design of transportation projects for public and private clients
• Serve as project engineer for all transportation designs
• Develop project specifications and cost estimates
• Serve as technical expert for transportation projects
• Understand and apply all federal, state and local regulations for all transportation projects
• Coordinate work with other divisions within the company
• Ensure projects are designed on schedule and within budget
• Serve as a point of contact for clients

Qualifications

• Education BS, Civil Engineering
• PE in Nebraska or ability to obtain by comity
• Prior work experience on rural and urban transportation projects
• Minimum of 8 years of experience as a transportation engineer
• Experience and strong working knowledge of design software (Microstation, GEOPAK)
• Strong leadership and supervisory skills
• Ability to multitask
• Ability to answer client questions and to present project updates to company principles, clients and the public as needed
