Spectrum Healthcare Resources has a potenial opportunity for an Operating Room Registered Nurse at Travis AFBin Fairfield, CA. 

Position Details:

• Full-time Monday -Friday
• Supportive environment 
• Working with military families 

Position Requirements:

• A minimum of 24 months of experience is mandatory in operating room assignments.
• Experience must include all phases of operating room technique such as preparing operating room units, preparing patients for surgery, and assisting medical officer during surgery; and conducting instrument and equipment sterilization procedures.
• BLS and ACLS life support certifications
• BSN degree preferred

Position Duties and Skills:

• Gather all supplies needed for the operation
• Assume responsibility for keeping the operating room sterilized
• Proven experience as an operating room nurse (circulating and scrub)
• Knowledge of aseptic and sterile techniques
• Solid understanding of patient safety and precautions
• Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates nursing care for all patients including newborns, children, adolescents, adults and the elderly; disabled to include visually and hearing impaired; and individuals of varying ethnic and religious backgrounds to include those who do not speak or understand English.
• Provides accurate and complete documentation of patient care events and process improvement activities IAW MTF guidelines.
• Knowledgeable of laboratory test values
•  Administers medications, electrolytes, fluids, blood, and blood products.
• Adheres to perioperative, infection control and safety policies and procedures.
