Director of People Operations

Boulder, Colorado – (Hybrid in Colorado)

SUMMARY

You’ll be responsible for leading and managing the overall HR function for the organization. This includes developing and implementing HR strategies, policies, and procedures, as well as managing the recruitment, selection, and retention of employees. You’ll also serve as a liaison between management and employees, and be responsible for overseeing employee relations, performance management, and compensation and benefits.

COMPENSATION – $ 120,000 - $ 140,000

What you will be doing:

  • You’ll develop and implement HR strategies, policies, and procedures that align with the organization's overall mission and goals.
  • You’ll manage the recruitment, selection, and retention of employees, including overseeing the hiring process, conducting interviews, and support making hiring decisions.
  • You’ll serve as a liaison between management and employees, and provide guidance and support to both groups.
  • You’ll oversee employee relations, including handling employee complaints, conflicts, and grievances.
  • You’ll manage performance management, including setting performance goals, conducting performance evaluations, and providing feedback and coaching to employees.
  • You’ll oversee compensation and benefits, including developing and implementing compensation and benefit plans, and managing the administration of these plans.
  • You’ll provide guidance and support to managers and supervisors on a wide range of HR-related issues.
  • You’ll stay up-to-date on legal and regulatory developments related to HR, and ensure that the organization is in compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
  • You’ll represent the organization at various industry-related events and conferences.

What you need to bring to the table:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 8 years of experience in human resources management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of HR laws, regulations, and best practices.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities.
  • Experience in managing a team and leading change management initiatives.

It would be nice if you had:

  • PHR, SPHR, SHRM-SCP or SHRM-CP certification.
