As an Events Coordinator, you will be instrumental in the execution of our participation at third-party conferences and tradeshows, as well as signature events hosted by SparkCognition both in-person and virtually. The Events Coordinator will report to the Events Manager to contribute to the execution and overall success of our events strategy.
Join us in:
- Researching new event opportunities in our targeted verticals including, but not limited to energy, manufacturing, cybersecurity, and defense/government trade shows and conferences.
- Providing comprehensive support to the Events Manager by compiling and analyzing event research, ordering event supplies, stepping in to help with vendor management or communications, and more.
- Coordinating SparkCognition participation for external events and coordinating stakeholder needs for internal events with event organizers, including logistics, exhibition assets, booth materials, inventory management, and external vendor management, in writing, by phone, or in-person as appropriate.
- Assisting with budget management and tracking costs for sponsorships, speaker fees, shipping, logistics, etc., while simultaneously acting as a financial steward of SparkCognition.
- Collecting event details and maintaining project management tools with the most accurate and up to date information
- Working across the marketing department to coordinate the production of content and SparkCognition branded assets for event participation, maintaining brand consistency, and ensuring timely delivery.
- Assisting in or leading additional event-related projects may be assigned based on business needs.
You’ll have:
- 2 years of events experience, including hands-on experience with physical booth materials, is required.
- A can-do, high-energy spirit and ability to navigate a rapidly changing environment
- A focus on execution with the ability to handle multiple assignments at once
- Strong attention to detail, the ability to prioritize work, maintain organization, and clearly communicate.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficient in event software solutions (e.g., Google Suite, Microsoft Office, Asana, or other applicable programs).
- Local to Austin, TX required. SparkCognition has a hybrid approach to work that includes in-person requirements and the ability to work from home.
