Spark Power is Hiring an Electrical Estimator Near Apex, NC

Electrical Estimator

Location: North Carolina

Here’s what you will you do as an Electrical Estimator:

  • Conduct thorough reviews of specifications and drawings
  • Develop material labor take-offs
  • Coordinate price packages with suppliers, subcontractors, owners, designers and architects
  • Review estimates with the Project Managers
  • Prepare proposals by organizing all material, equipment, labor, and subcontract costs needed to complete the project
  • Coordinate with Purchasing and other departments to assist with building quotes
  • Track all bids, proposals and regularly communicate with Project Managers and other colleagues as needed
  • May assist with business development or new customer generation
  • Attend kick off meetings
  • Maintain and analyze reports

Do you have the Spark? Here’s what we’re looking for:

  • Journeyman Electrician license is preferred but not required.
  • Experience working on commercial, industrial and / or institutional projects
  • Ability to build scope of work and clearly communicate with customers
  • Ability to put together a professional presentation
  • Experience creating reports on costing data
  • Strong analytical and mathematical skills
  • Strong computer skills including MS Office. Accubid would be preferred but other estimating software skills will also be considered.
  • Ability to work as part of a cross-functional team
  • High attention to detail and ability to meet defined deadlines
  • Ability to understand technical drawings and requirements
  • Deep knowledge of electrical systems and up to date code requirements
  • Able to communicate in a professional and concise manner in writing and verbally
