SERVICE TECHNICIAN

Southworth Products has an immediate opening for a full-time Service Technician to provide technical and general support to customers who purchase our vertical material handling equipment. This is a full-time professional position that will be engaging with our dealers, distributors, end users and coworkers daily.

Annual salary is $57,080.00 and up depending on education and experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide high quality customer service, technical product support and product parts information for a global material handling equipment manufacturer via telephone, email. Occasional visits to customer sites may also be required.
• Resolve customer questions and provide solutions for technical issues related to the equipment.
• Engage in frequent collaboration with Engineering and Sales departments.
• Review sales records, engineering documentation and warranty issues and history to ensure that a high level of cost-effective customer satisfaction is maintained.
• Prepare quotations for parts and other services as needed, maintain records for the installed base.

Requirements:

• 4 years of customer service experience, preferably in the Manufacturing industry.
• 1 -3 years’ experience working with machinery blueprints.
• Knowledge of hydraulic systems and components.
• Knowledge of electrical systems and components.
• Knowledge of wiring and hydraulic schematics.
• Familiarity and comfort with Microsoft Office 365.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.

Education:

• Associate’s, bachelor’s degree or military/civilian technical school with 5 years of related experience.
• A history of related experience, dependability, and an aptitude for the requirements of the position will also be considered.

Job Type: Full-time, annual salary $57,080.00 to start depending on experience.
