Description

The Technical Support specialist works with the infrastructure team members and will play a role in providing support for enterprise technology infrastructure, including workstations, basic network/server issues, telephony systems, security systems, and conference room audio-visual systems, etc. This individual will effectively interface with staff and/or third parties to understand and diagnose issues; and follow best practices to isolate and effectively resolve them. This individual will work within a collaborative team of technicians to solve problems creatively and timely, with the ability to escalate issues to senior technical staff as needed.

Responsibilities

Analysis

  • Maintain, analyze, troubleshoot, and repair computer systems, hardware, mobile devices, and computer peripherals. Including but not limited to performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting network performance issues, ensuring adequate backup has been completed and that software is current, and use is within the terms of the license.
  • Monitor Security logs and inform on any new threats
  • Support and maintain user account information including rights, security, and systems groups. 
  • Respond to telephone calls, email, and personnel requests for technical support.
  • Maintain documentation and auditing of software utilization, updates, configuration, and license information.
  • Assist with maintenance/configuration on all network hardware and software.
  • Assist with maintenance/configuration on all ftp, fax, email and phone system hardware and software.
  • Assist with maintaining all PC documentation, records, and asset database.
  • Assist with organizing and maintaining workspace and assembly area.

Teamwork

  • Work cooperatively with other team members.
  • Actively participate in team meetings and training activities.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as periodically assigned.

Qualifications


Education/Certification

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum 1 years in a helpdesk or IT related position, supporting 100 end users in both local and remote branch offices as well as home user support.

Skills/Abilities

  • Building, troubleshooting, and maintaining technical hardware, including computers/components, network issues, security policies, etc...
  • Email and phone system administration experience a plus.
  • Ability to read and comprehend complex technical instructions and technical manuals, as well as communicate and correspond on technical issues.
  • Ability to perform with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to sit and/or stand for extended periods.
  • Occasional travel may be required <25%
  • Ability to work full-time, Monday-Friday.
  • Ability to work additional hours, any day of the week (including weekends) with little notice.
