Scope of Responsibilities: The Fleet Maintenance Coordinator's primary responsibility is the maintenance and repair of the school's activity buses, truck(s), and golf carts. This role will also drive for field trips and athletic events as schedule permits.

General Responsibilities/Essential Functions:

• Coordinating routine maintenance schedules with local mechanics while working around school needs as much as possible
• Transporting buses to and from shops
• Maintaining maintenance notebook/logs on each vehicle
• Coordinating repairs as needed
• Maintaining DOT inspections and required on-board documentation (insurance cards, registrations, CDL inspection forms)
• Cleaning, inspecting, and fueling buses routinely
• Responding to bus breakdowns
• Driving for school events
• Providing bus orientation/safety training for less experienced drivers
• Advising the Director of Operations regarding new bus purchases

Qualified Applicants:

• Must be a born-again believer in Jesus Christ; be involved with an evangelical, protestant church of like faith and practice; and be in agreement with the philosophies, Statement of Faith, and Statement of Christian Life Commitment of Southside Christian School.
• Have a commitment to the mission, philosophy, goals and objectives of Christian schooling as expressed by Southside Christian School demonstrated by their eligible children enrolled in Southside Christian School.
• This position requires a South Carolina CDL Class B license, with P & S endorsements.
• The successful candidate must have a valid DOT medical card and pass school criteria for insurability, including a SCDMV records review.

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods sitting while driving.
• Must have a valid DOT medical card and maintain DOT medical certification as required by DOT.
• Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times.
