GENERAL SALES MANAGER TRAINEE
Our General Sales Manager/Trainee is responsible for optimizing the sales of our Home Improvement products and services.
Our GSM/Trainee will learn our selling system, lead and manage their office, and assume full accountability for all issues that affect the sales, operations and the financial direction of the office.
REQUIREMENTS (representative of the knowledge, skill, and ability required)
- Passionate about sales & responsible for selling and hitting monthly sales targets for continued growth of the office
- Achieve all financial goals of aggressive profitable growth by reviewing results and adjusting when needed
- Maintain an effective organizational structure by delegating authority, assigning responsibilities, and holding members accountable
- Supervise and mentor staff to be effective in achieving business goals
- Focuses on developing the office by identifying, mentoring, and training candidates
- Set career goals for each employee in the office & supply staff with tools and systems and direction to perform effectively
- Promote an evolving and consistent “best practices” approach to sales, installation, and product management
- Maintain compliance with all organization policies, standards, and practices and values of the entire company footprint
- Champion an injury free workplace and complies with all Operational Safety and Health standards
- Foster a positive culture for all employees while leading employees by positive example
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR- 3 Years experience managing sales and lead generation teams
- 3 Years construction/home improvement related management experience
- 3 Years construction/home improvement (gutters preferred!) sales experience
- Money motivated
- Strong work ethic
- Proven closer with strong sales skills
- Door-to-door marketing experience
- Trade show/display marketing experience
- Potential and ability for possible relocation
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, or related field; OR
- Extensive experience as sales manager required.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent sales and customer service skills, with proven negotiation skills
- Excellent math skills to draft and implement budgets and conduct data analysis.
- Excellent supervisory and leadership skills.
- Ability to learn our company’s products and/or services, and those of immediate competitors in the surrounding market.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
PAY- Salary: Based on Education and Experience
