Responsible for patient care under the supervision of an attending physician.

Responsibilities

Safety

• Manages processes effectively in regard to employee/patient safety.

Record Keeping

• Maintains all required records, reports, statistics, logs, files and otherdocuments as required.

Process Improvement

• Promotes a culture of process improvement by participating inunit/department based programs that supports the system’s processimprovement goals.
• Actively participates on system-wide or hospital-based teams as needed.

Role Specific Responsibilities

• Performs procedures within the specialty of the supervising physician.
• Provides primary care to patients within their scope of practice.
• Preoperative Interview: Provides a clinical resource for preoperativeteam.
• Preoperative Interview: Oversees the history taking and data collectionfor all preoperative patients receiving surgical and anesthesia services.

Qualifications

Education

• Master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies from a CAHEA accreditedprogram

Licenses and Certification

• Current Illinois Licensed Physician Assistant
• Current NCCPA certificate as a Physician Assistant
• Mid-level practitioner controlled substance licensure

Experience and Skills

• Technical Experience: 3 years
• COVID VACCINATION
