Overview
The Logistics Analyst is responsible for freight analysis, carrier performance, system maintenance, and other various logistics tasks.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Process freight claims based on shipping discrepancies.
- Facilitate intercompany stock transfer order (STO) process.
- Analyze and provide recommendations on freight costs to support product margin price decisions.
- Research, identify and recommend lead time variability opportunities for improvement measures.
- Execute state to state product transfers.
- Monitor carrier performance based on scheduled pickup and delivery times.
- Ensure SAP parameters are set correctly and communicated to all carriers.
- Determine potential cost saving methods to pick up product from different vendors in same regions.
- Route import shipments effectively, optimizing container space.
- Communicate shipment exceptions to internal business stakeholders
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Additional Primary Responsibilities:
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree and 3 years of experience or equivalent education and related experience.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong organization, multi-tasking and time management skills.
- Experience comprehension for translating results data within SAP.
- Basic knowledge of logistics industry terminology and best practices.

- Physical demands with activity or condition for a considerable amount of time include sitting and typing/keyboarding using a computer (e.g., keyboard, mouse, and monitor) or adding machine.
- Physical demands with activity or condition may include occasional to rare amount of time include walking, bending, reaching, standing, and stooping.
- May require occasional lifting/lowering, pushing, carrying, or pulling up to 20lbs.
