Overview
The Shared Services Business Process Analyst provides support to the Shared Services function with the overall design and implementation of business processes and the associated technology solutions. This position is heavily involved in business process design, implementation, testing, documentation and training efforts across the entire Shared Services organization. Additionally, this includes identifying opportunities for harmonization, standardization, and automation of business processes across the entire company.
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Serve as a liaison between Shared Services and IT on projects and enhancements.
  • Create and maintain business process documentation related to all Shared Services functions.
  • Proactively advise Shared Services leadership and other stakeholders on performance risks, optimization of process flow and other opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Identify and communicate potential data issues or concerns resulting from deficiencies in business processes.
  • Responsible for learning how the various software and tools utilized by the company interact to complete a task or process (e.g., SAP, Concur, VISTEX, Kronos, SuccessFactors, etc.).
  • Assist with the creation of test plans, specifically User Acceptance Testing.
  • Perform testing duties as needed, working with Shared Services users and projects teams during the design, construction, testing and implementation of system changes.
  • Support the education and training of end users, working to increase end user proficiency and adoption of implemented solutions.
Additional Primary Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for understanding, documenting, and maintaining SAP security roles, ultimately supporting the review and approval of access requests.
  • Communicate systems and procedural changes to end users through excellent written and oral communications.
  • Responsible for understanding and learning the alcoholic beverage distribution industry and how each functional business area operates (both locally and as part of the national company).
  • Gather required information to build business cases and ROI around various alternatives (upgrade, enhance or develop) relating to Shared Services processes and system changes.
  • Generate ADHOC reports from the various systems as requested by Shared Services Management.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with key Corporate and Divisional personnel.
  • Special projects as needed.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • A Bachelor’s Degree (Accounting, Business or Finance, preferred) or equivalent years of experience in one or more of the following areas: Shared Services or Information Technology.
  • Sensitivity to confidential data and matters required. Must be able to handle sensitive information while ensuring that the information is only provided to authorized parties.
  • Thorough understanding of basic accounting concepts (e.g. Accrual accounting, debits/credits, P&L, etc.)
  • Minimum three (3) years of experience with SAP and the standard SAP processes and reporting tools.
  • Emphasis in statistics, quantitative methods of business and/or information technology a plus.
  • Strong technical skills, in particular Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Visio and Access.
  • Must be able to clearly communicate and voice personal concerns and/or opinions about solutions/recommendations even when faced with opposition or pushback.
  • Strong customer service focus, with well-rounded analytical and prioritization skills and ability to work well under pressure.

  • Physical demands include a considerable amount of time sitting and typing/keyboarding, using a computer (e.g., keyboard, mouse, and monitor), or mobile device
  • Physical demands with activity or condition may occasionally include walking, bending, reaching, standing, squatting, and stooping
  • May require occasional lifting/lowering, pushing, carrying, or pulling up to 20lbs
