What are the responsibilities and job description for the Lead Host/Hostess position at Southern Cross Hospitality?
As the Lead Host, you will play a crucial role in creating a welcoming and organised environment for our guests. Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Crowd Management: Effectively manage and oversee the flow of guests during peak brunch hours. Ensure a smooth seating process and minimize wait times.
- Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of younger hosts. Provide guidance, training, and support to ensure a cohesive and efficient front-of-house operation.
- Opentable Management: Work closely with Opentable and ensure that the seating is done in an efficient but fair manner, managing the flow of service and reservations if any.
- Customer Service: Uphold the highest standards of customer service. Address guest concerns and ensure an exceptional dining experience.
- Communication: Maintain clear communication with the kitchen and waitstaff to facilitate a seamless dining experience for guests.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in a high-volume hospitality environment, preferably in a lead host or similar role.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a team.
- Excellent communication and organisational abilities.
- A passion for delivering outstanding customer service.
- Flexibility to work weekends and holidays.
- Familiarity with reservation systems and basic computer skills.

Pay: $17.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 30 per week
