Responsibilities:

·Provide EHS guidance aligned with regulatory requirements Company EHS and Engineering specifications and service requirements.

·Conduct risk assessments and equipment surveys for safeguards, machine guarding and lock-out requirements.

·Review LOTO procedures with maintenance, operators, electricians, mechanics and affected individuals. Propose specific LOTO devices and methods to be developed. Develop written LOTO procedures when needed.

·Support JSA development for maintenance, repair, calibration type activities.

·Work with electricians, mechanics, engineers to design local building utility systems for accessibility and good ergonomics.

·Work with project management, engineers and construction leads to identify EHS issues and propose compliant solutions that support operations. Work with team to validate feasibility of the proposed solutions.

·Supports various EHS programs, including but not limited to PRCS, Electrical safety, Powered Industrial Trucks, Working at Heights, Fire safety and Egress.

·Evaluate locations as confined spaces and develop precautions including giving input on rescue.

·Develop OSHA-required PPE hazard assessments for maintenance, repair, calibration type activities.

·Perform sound level surveys of potentially loud areas or equipment.

·Review operating procedures to provide EHS input and guidance.

·When participating to technical issue resolution process, give support and feedback related to the area of responsibility.

·Complete EHS evaluations for new projects and equipment modifications.

·Strong interpersonal, organizational and customer service skills.

·Perform other EHS responsibilities as assigned.

·Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Teams, Excel, Outlook, Word, Power Point)

Preferred - Primary Skills/Qualifications:

·Knowledge of and support of Process Safety Management program elements preferred.

·Ability to conduct ergonomic assessments and provide necessary guidance preferred.

·Relevant professional experience supporting pharmaceutical industry, including manufacturing, research labs, pilot plant and utilities operations.

Desired - Experience and Education:

·At least 10 years of experience.

·Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Electrical, Chemical, Mechanical, or experience equivalent

·Excellent written and verbal communication skills

·Demonstrate attributes consistent with the current workforce and culture: adaptability, flexibility, teamwork, accountability, and innovation
