Role:

The Systems Administrator supports the Credit Union's goals, values and philosophy by exhibiting the following behaviors: excellence, quality member service, commitment and accountability. As a member of the Credit Union's Information Technology team, performance includes demonstration of the following accountabilities: communication, teamwork and job knowledge.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Serves as point of contact for credit union staff on all system and network related issues. Responsible for analyzing, troubleshooting and resolution of these issues. Collaborates with IT Team to ensure quick and accurate resolution of open tickets
  • Management of IT software/hardware inventory, distribution of equipment, life cycle management, logistics, and adherence to policies/guidelines with assistance from the IT Team.
  • Installation, configuration, and management of physical and virtual servers. Management and maintenance of virtual desktop environment
  • Provides support services to monitor, backup, and diagnose servers and storage equipment

Performance Measurements:

  1. Provide informed, professional, accurate service and support to credit union employees in the appropriate use of hardware and software products.
  2. Troubleshoot and resolve inquiries in a timely, friendly, and accurate manner.
  3. Keep management and operational areas informed regarding data processing service interruptions, keeping interruptions to a minimum and scheduling down time during off-peak hours.
  4. Maintain all hardware in working order, ensuring that all systems are functioning within established parameters.
  5. Keep management informed regarding key operating issues affecting the department.
  6. Adhere to all Credit Union Policies/Procedures and Regulatory Requirements

Knowledge and Skills:

Experience - Three years to five years of similar or related experience. Preferred Experience: Windows 2012/2016/2019, Active Directory, Group Policy, Office 365, VMware, Cisco, Meraki, Adlumin, CrowdStrike, Veeam, VDI, VOIP, DR, OnBase.

Education - (1) A two year college degree or (2) Completion of a specialized course of study at a business or trade school or (3) Completion of a specialized and extensive in-house training or apprenticeship program in a relevant field. Relevant technical certification preferred.

Interpersonal Skills - Work involves much personal contact with others inside and/or outside the organization for the purpose of first-level conflict resolution, building relationships, and soliciting cooperation. Discussions involve a higher degree of confidentiality and discretion, requiring diplomacy and tact in communication.

Other Skills - Preferred Certifications: Microsoft certification such as MCP or MCSA. VCP and Security are a plus.

Physical Requirements - Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Work Environment - Occasional travel to branches at remote locations.
