You should own

• 2 years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• Programming experience with at least one modern language such as Java, C , or C# including object-oriented design.
• Experience with C# design patterns1 years of experience contributing to the architecture and design (architecture, design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and current systems.
• Help maintain, improve, and update all existing websites and applications; including mobile apps, TV apps, email templates, CMS, workflows, ChMS, and other external applications as needed. (working knowledge of Rock RMS is a huge plus)
• Stay current and relevant in your field
• Ability to work independently as well as on a team and manage multiple task assignments 
• Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills with the ability to exercise mature judgments
• Enhance existing systems by analyzing ministry objectives, preparing an action plan and identifying areas for modification and improvement
• Consult closely with management and occasionally ministry staff related to projects and tasks
• Identify and communicate risks and issues 
• Support all quality initiatives that are implemented during each phase of the development life cycle
• Develop and maintain strong working relationships with other IT Services, IT Solutions functions and ministries to expedite delivery of IT solutions

It would be great if you owned these skills too

• 4 years of experience developing objected-oriented software, with mastery of one or more relevant languages (Java, C , or C# including object-oriented design.)
• Experience building complex software systems that have been successfully delivered to customers.
• Knowledge of professional software engineering practices & best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations. Experience with prototyping tools (Figma, Sketch, AdobeXD, etc.)
• Templating languages (knowledge of shopify’s liquid is a plus). 
• In-depth experience with one or more JavaScript frameworks (Angular, Vue, Ember, React, etc)
• Ability to take a project from scoping requirements through actual launch of the project.
• Experience in communicating with users, other technical teams, and management to collect requirements, describe software product features, and technical designs.

Required Education, Experience, and Membership

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science field or strong related experience.
• Engaged member of Southeast Christian Church or willing to become one; supports our Statement of Faith, and submits to the leadership established by the church, lives out our church Mantra in tangible ways.
