An International Brand Implementation Company that specializes in turnkey projects, headquartered in Elmhurst IL, is seeking an experienced Production Engineer to join the team. This is an outstanding and challenging opportunity with a growing company that services Fortune 500 clients and facilities nationwide. 

Our company specializes in providing the highest quality services to our clients for large-scale, custom signage projects across all industries, e.g., banking, retail, health, air travel, entertainment, and hospitality. Our culture is one that emphasizes the importance of meeting customer expectations through effective systems and communication which is why the Production Engineer is expected to have excellent qualities to achieve this level of responsibility among the organization’s functions.

This individual is responsible for evaluating specifications and drawings, ensuring the ERP system has the proper structure for products made on our production floor. You will assist and improve production processes in our factory. Engineering aptitude, high attention to detail, and the ability to optimize production processes for maximum efficiency are necessary skills for this role. This position is responsible for production of all types of signage, interior and exterior of various sizes and quantities, including programs.

Requirements

Duties/Responsibilities 

· Plan and oversee all elements of production in our factory

· Assess and analyze current production methods

· Develop and draft an improved production process

· Design and implement cost-reductive changes

· Maximize productivity of machinery and workers

· Follow product specifications and quality control measures

· Determine which machines, tools, equipment, etc. will be used and where they will be stationed in the facility

· Determine how many workers are needed to man the production line

· Increase speed and efficiency of processes without compromising quality

· Develop and implement quality control measures that effectively monitor products and guarantee desired results

· Ensure all steps of production run smoothly and efficiently

· Diagnose origin of breakdowns, including human error, and troubleshoot problems

· Communicate with vendors to obtain materials and/or equipment needed

· Follow and adhere to all state, federal and company enforced safety rules and regulations

Required Skills/Abilities: 

· 2 years proven experience in production/industrial engineering

· Good Organizational skills.

· Ability to work individually and in groups.

· Must be a self-starter, motivated employee who can work without supervision.

· Knowledge of sign fabrication a plus

· Must be proficient in MS Office Suite (Primarily Excel and Word).

· Must be able to read and analyze blueprints, plans and other documentation.

· Decision-making skills.

· Must be thorough and accurate with an attention to details.

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in related field required.

Physical Requirements: 

• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Must be able to lift to 15 pounds at times.
